Products Description
Praseodymium bromide is an important raw material for the preparation of single rare earth metals by metal thermal reduction method, and can also be used for preparing organic glass coatings, etc. Prepare a unidirectional perspective glass. Including the inner layer and outer layer of glass.Prepare a unidirectional perspective glass. Including the inner layer and outer layer of glass, there is a unidirectional glass layer between the inner layer and the outer layer of glass. The inner layer of glass, the outer layer of glass, and the unidirectional glass layer are directly or indirectly bonded through a PVB film layer. The unidirectional glass layer is a multi-layer glass, and a total of two layers of unidirectional reflection film are spaced on the inner or outer surface of the multi-layer glass; The unidirectional reflection film is a polymer composite film or a fluoride coating, and the fluoride coating is a coating of yttrium fluoride or praseodymium fluoride. The prepared unidirectional perspective glass has good unidirectional perspective effect, with low front transmittance, high reflectivity, high back transmittance, and low reflectivity.
Praseodymium fluoride (III) Applications: optical coating, fiber doping, laser crystals, single crystal raw materials, laser amplifiers, catalytic additives, etc
Physical and chemical properties: light green crystal or powder, without water of crystallization. Insoluble in water, insoluble in hydrochloric acid, nitric acid, and sulfuric acid, but soluble in perchloric acid. It has hygroscopicity in the air and is relatively stable. Praseodymium fluoride is mainly used in laboratory reagents, fiber doping, laser materials, fluorescent materials, optical fiber, optical coating materials, electronic materials, etc.
Purpose: Used for the production of metal praseodymium and arc carbon rod chemicalbook additives, for vacuum deposition
Production method:
1. 50-100mg Pr6O11 was placed in a small platinum boat in a nickel reaction chamber, and dry N2 was introduced to expel air and water vapor. Then, ClF3 was slowly introduced and the reaction was carried out at room temperature. After the reaction is completed, N2 is introduced to remove unreacted ClF3. The above reaction was also carried out with high valence oxides Pr6O11 and PrO2, resulting in PrF3.
2. Dissolve praseodymium nitrate in 95% acetic acid and slowly add 40% hydrofluoric acid until the precipitation is complete.

Praseodymium Fluoride is the main raw material for making Praseodymium Metal, and also applied in colour glasses and enamels; when mixed with certain other materials, Praseodymium produces an intense clean yellow colour in the glass. Praseodymium is present in the rare earth mixture whose Fluoride forms the core of carbon arc lights which are used in the motion picture industry for studio lighting and projector lights. Doping Praseodymium in Fluoride glass allows it to be used as a single-mode fibre optical amplifier.
